Town Mayor of Kidwelly & Mynyddygarreg Cllr Jeanette Gilasbey, presents the Apple laptop from on behalf of the Kidwelly Town Council to Jon Hobden of Ynghyd, with some of the volunteers,Deputy Mayor Steve John,Cllr A Jenkins in attendance.
Kidwelly Town Council awarded the laptop to Ynghyd to help with its projects at the Community Hub. Ynghyd will use the computer in its Community Publishing and Training projects. A free community newsletter will be published by the group from April, communicating activities and events around social and community groups and organisations.
The computer will be used for graphic design, photo editing, digital production and as an administration tool for the social enterprise, based in Kidwelly. Speaking on behalf of Ynghyd, Jon Hobden said, “The support of the Town Council is very important to Ynghyd and the Community Hub, it will help us to deliver our inclusive projects, including training to bring real-world skills and opportunities to local people.”
