Gwendraeth Arts Lab is a new community arts group based in Kidwelly, Carmarthenshire.
We are a collective of Artists who came together through the work of the Lady Street Gallery, Kidwelly.
We are aiming to develop and promote arts related events, workshops and community projects engaging with local groups and individuals from all backgrounds and abilities.
This summer, 2017, we plan to encourage YOU to have a go at drawing, print making and other creative activities at places around town finishing up with a free event at Kidwelly Industrial Museum.
Date: May 29th Bank Holiday Monday 2 – 4pm: Drawing around Kidwelly Town
Date: June 18th Sunday 10am -12pm: Drawing at Quay and Canal
Date: Tuesday 25th or Thursday 27th July (TBC): Drawing at Kidwelly Industrial Museum from 2 – 4 pm
Celebrating Kidwelly’s industrial heritage – painting the Reception Centre building at Kidwelly Industrial Museum.
Date: August Bank Holiday Monday, 28th August.
Art works produced at Kidwelly Industrial Museum & during a series of sketchbooks walks throughout Kidwelly over the Summer of 2017 will be showcased in an exhibition held at the Lady Street Gallery on Saturday the 9th and Sunday the 10th of December between 11.00am and 3.30pm.
