Kidwelly Industrial Museum houses the oldest surviving tinplate works in Europe.
Sited a mile outside the historic town of Kidwelly the museum houses the second oldest recorded tinplate works in the UK. This unique museum, has FREE entry is dedicated to the interpretation of the tinplate industry in general and specifically the packmill process. The locality around the Kidwelly and Llanelli area was once the home to nearly half the world’s tinplate production.
The Museum Runs on small grants from the local authority and donations from visitors.
