Sharen Davies, the Dolen Teifi Community Transport Development Officer for Llanelli/Ammanford is currently working with a number of organisations highlighting the opportunities that’s available with regards to Transport. Schools/organisations/individuals, have issues with sourcing and with cost of transport. This can also be a barrier in accessing local services.
Dolen Teifi Transport is an affordable way for schools/organisations/groups/individuals to get around. We have vehicles based in Llanelli, Carmarthen, Llandysul, Ammanford, Llanybyther and Aberaeron.
We have several community minibuses. The buses range from a 7 seater electric, 13 seater electric to a 16 seater Diesel.
The 7 seater is 49p a mile.
13 seater is £1.00p a mile.
16 seater Diesel £1.80p a mile.
We offer the MIDAS Certificate training free of charge, in order for organisations/schools/groups/individuals to hire and drive themselves to activities.
The criteria to drive the bus: All volunteers must be 25years of age and over, with 2 years driving experience, to 70 years of age, over the age of 70 a medical will need to be sort.
We also have a few volunteers willing to drive organisations/individuals/groups.
