Following the design for remodelling the Town Square by Darkin Architects, Llanelli, and costings by Maverick’s of Tenby, Quantity Surveyors, the contract for the redevelopment of Kidwelly Town’s square has been awarded to Castle Construction & Groundworks Ltd., Pembrey Road, Kidwelly.

The project is jointly funded by Kidwelly Town Council and a combination of grants from Carmarthenshire County Council’s Ten Towns Capital Growth Fund and the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Carmarthenshire County Council’s grants are also supported by the Welsh Government’s European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.

The start on site will be mid-January 2024, with a completion envisaged to be at the end of May 2024. The construction will be undertaken in three phases in order to minimise disruption.
