Road Closure 12th -14th February

PUBLIC NOTICE

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

As amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions Act) 1991

Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic

 

Carmarthenshire County Council hereby gives notice that no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along that length of road known as Capel Teilo road, from its junction with the B4308 Kidwelly for a distance of 98 metres in a north easterly direction.

 The closure is necessary to ensure public safety whilst works are carried out on behalf of Welsh Water to renew a leaking ferrule from Monday 12th February 2024 until Wednesday 14th February 2024.

 The Alternative Route for north east bound traffic from a point south west of the closure will be to proceed in a north westerly direction along the B4308 Kidwelly, to its junction with the A484 Kidwelly. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north easterly direction along the A484 Kidwelly, to its junction with the C2057 Meiniciau road. At the junction, turn right and continue in a north easterly direction along the C2057 Meiniciau road, to its junction with Capel Teilo road. At the junction, turn right and continue in a south easterly then south westerly direction along Capel Teilo road, to return to a point north east of the closure. Vice versa for south west bound diverted traffic.

 Pedestrian movement to individual properties will be maintained where possible

  This Notice shall continue in force for a period not exceeding twenty-one days after which time its provision may be extended by a Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the same Act.
