We wanted to let you know about a new campaign that’s about to go live and ask for your support to make it a huge success.
100% Sir Gâr is a new online showcase that will shine a spotlight on the best of Carmarthenshire’s local independent businesses in the run-up to what is traditionally the biggest retail period of the year.
We hope the online directory will become a vital resource for people shopping for loved ones as well as supporting local traders when they need it the most.
100% Sir Gâr will be hosted on Discover Carmarthenshire and will get significant attention across local social media feeds over the coming weeks.
Please follow this link to view Discover Carmarthenshire's website
Next week, we’ll be shouting about it through local media, but first we need businesses to sign up to take advantage of this fantastic free marketing opportunity and open their virtual shop window.
We’ve already contacted over a thousand local businesses, but if you know of any local independent traders in your community that might like to be part of 100% Sir Gâr, please tell them to visit www.carmarthenshire.gov.wales/business to sign up as soon as possible.

The Remembrance period is vitally important to us all, in order that we can honour the service and sacrifice of the Armed Forces community.
The Welsh Government fully appreciates that Local Authorities, town and community councils, along with charities and the Military, will be planning Remembrance activity for November 2020 and we want to ensure organisers have as much information available to them in order to plan Remembrance activity safely.
In order that organisers can adhere to guidelines and safely plan Acts of Remembrance, we are sharing the current national and local guidance for Wales regarding COVID 19. Please follow this link for further information.
Rules for outdoor gatherings and places of worship, are included in the FAQs and we hope these will help the planning of Acts of Remembrance e.g. At War memorials
